A month between blog posts? Well, at least I’m updating more than I used to! I’m getting better at this blogging thing, I promise.
I’ve been breaking the mold recently, going out of my comfort zone and all. A week or so ago, I went up to New York to take a proofreader’s assessment for a publishing company, and I spent most of the afternoon in the city. By myself. Which is an incredible feat, if I do say so myself.
I have yet to hear back from them about the position, but I’ve got my fingers crossed!
I did spend a considerable amount of time at The Strand Bookstore, and let me tell you how beautiful that place is. If I could just live there forever, I would.
On the 2nd, I went over to Philly with good friend and travel buddy JMTuckerman for a marketing for writer’s conference presented by the Corzo Center. We were so soggy by the time we finished our walk to the Free Library of Philadelphia.
We even took some pictures with Leo and Leona!
It’s also officially Camp NaNoWriMo, and I’m definitely using that as a fire under my butt to get some writing done on this latest project of mine, so wish me luck!
If I could sum up my entire experience of Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard in a single gif, it would be this one:
If you’ve spent any amount of time at Round Robin Writes, or listening to our Podcasts, you know how much of a fan Jess and I are of Victoria Aveyard. We fell in love with Red Queen last year, and Glass Sword delivered as many emotions as its predecessor. Maybe even more.

Okay, so maybe it’s a little late for New Year’s Resolutions, since you’re typically supposed to make them on the first day of the new year, and not three weeks into the new year, but I’m an adult and I do what I want.
I’m always complaining about how I never have any personal blog posts up, and how I don’t have much to blog about since I usually don’t do much anyway, but I’m going to change that.
So, my New Year’s Resolutions this year includes:
• Blogging more (At least once a week, minimum three times a month, not including book review posts)
• Post more photography (which comes with a prerequisite of actually fixing my external hard drive, that broke while I was on vaca in Canada. In August.)
• Finish at least two drafts of my manuscript this year.
Those seem like do-able goals, right?
I’ve also got to take some administrative control over at Round Robin, since my good friend JM Tuckerman is currently doing her internship at Quirkbook Productions until May, so she’ll be sparse over there. But let’s be real here, she can’t stop doing what she loves to do over at RRW.
I’ll also try to post some designs as I try to build up a portfolio to submit to Rosemont, where I’ll hopefully be getting my MFAs.
Yes. Plural. Two MFAs. Yes, I want to bury myself in more debt.
The other Robins and I have recorded and compiled our reading of the classic Christmas tale, “Twas the Night Before Christmas”.
You can also check it out at Round Robin!
Merry early Christmas to those who celebrate, Happy Hannukah, Merry Yule, and a Happy New Year to y’all!
It’s been a while since I’ve last updated the site. I’ve been incredibly busy with school this semester. I’ve got some new content coming your way (eventually, I promise) but there is some great news!
My friends and I over at Round Robin have started a new story, Yanallie’s Destiny! Go check it out! It’s a sci-fi with plenty of aliens! It looks like it’ll be a load of fun. K. Leigh has written the first chapter and it’s ready to go.
Kindred Crux, over at Round Robin is coming to a close! I’ll be talking more about my reaction to it later on, but for now, enjoy a sneak peek at the finale addition to Kindred Crux!

Howdy there, friends!
I figured it’s been a while since I posted something other than book reviews and sneak peeks, so I’ll break up the continuity.
