Okay, so maybe it’s a little late for New Year’s Resolutions, since you’re typically supposed to make them on the first day of the new year, and not three weeks into the new year, but I’m an adult and I do what I want.
I’m always complaining about how I never have any personal blog posts up, and how I don’t have much to blog about since I usually don’t do much anyway, but I’m going to change that.
So, my New Year’s Resolutions this year includes:
• Blogging more (At least once a week, minimum three times a month, not including book review posts)
• Post more photography (which comes with a prerequisite of actually fixing my external hard drive, that broke while I was on vaca in Canada. In August.)
• Finish at least two drafts of my manuscript this year.
Those seem like do-able goals, right?
I’ve also got to take some administrative control over at Round Robin, since my good friend JM Tuckerman is currently doing her internship at Quirkbook Productions until May, so she’ll be sparse over there. But let’s be real here, she can’t stop doing what she loves to do over at RRW.
I’ll also try to post some designs as I try to build up a portfolio to submit to Rosemont, where I’ll hopefully be getting my MFAs.
Yes. Plural. Two MFAs. Yes, I want to bury myself in more debt.
So, I realized (and it has been made apparent by my good friend Jessica Tuckerman) that I don’t blog nearly as much as I should.
I often don’t have things to say, as most of my time is spent on school work, at my Day Job, or writing. I’ve been meaning to upload more photos, particularly the ones I took while on vacation with my family in Canada, but sometime during the trip, my external hard drive had a minor meltdown and now is not accessible, so I’ve been postponing those photos since they’re essentially gone unless I can find a way to fix it.
But I do have at least some photos to share from tonight’s Supermoon Lunar Eclipse!
I haven’t really enjoyed a lunar eclipse since perhaps the 6th grade, but tonight’s moon was a Supermoon, meaning it’s the closest to Earth in its orbit of us. Not to mention it’s also in the umbra (or shadow!) of the Earth so therefore, eclipse!
Gosh, I do love space.
But here is the best shot I got tonight, even though my camera was being a bit finicky and I’ve never shot anything at night before. Well, practice makes perfect.
My family and I took a trip recently (about a week ago, act
ually. I’m just very bad at this “blogging” business.) to Longwood Gardens. Longwood is a pretty well known botanical gardens on the East Coast, sitting pretty about thirty miles south of Philadelphia.
And let me tell y’all, it is gorgeous.

This semester, I’m enrolled in a handful of photography classes, a Photography I and a Photojournalism class. I’ve got a few of my favorite shots, either those I submitted for a grade or not, to show you.
Special thanks to my roommates, Becky Teller, Jessie McCormick and Kelly Lynch for modelling. Extra special thanks to Kelly for helping me out on some shots.
Howdy there, friends!
I figured it’s been a while since I posted something other than book reviews and sneak peeks, so I’ll break up the continuity.
