April Updates

A month between blog posts? Well, at least I’m updating more than I used to! I’m getting better at this blogging thing, I promise.

I’ve been breaking the mold recently, going out of my comfort zone and all. A week or so ago, I went up to New York to take a proofreader’s assessment for a publishing company, and I spent most of the afternoon in the city. By myself. Which is an incredible feat, if I do say so myself.

I have yet to hear back from them about the position, but I’ve got my fingers crossed!

I did spend a considerable amount of time at The Strand Bookstore, and let me tell you how beautiful that place is. If I could just liveΒ there forever, I would.

On the 2nd, I went over to Philly with good friend and travel buddy JMTuckermanΒ for a marketing for writer’s conference presented by the Corzo Center. We were so soggy by the time we finished our walk to the Free Library of Philadelphia.

We even took some pictures with Leo and Leona!

It’s also officially Camp NaNoWriMo, and I’m definitely using that as a fire under my butt to get some writing done on this latest project of mine, so wish me luck!
