I’ve realized I’ve been neglecting my growing library of books recently (mostly in favor of writing or schoolwork. Sometimes tumblr) and I’ve decided to kick myself in the butt and then sit down and get some reading done. After all, the best way to improve your own writing is to read a lot.
So last night, amid a chorus of tears and choking sobs, I finished Marie Lu’s wonderful conclusion to her Legend series,Champion. And let me tell you, feels were had and I’m still not over it. Full review to come!
I also have Patrick Rothfuss’s Name of the Wind sitting on my desk that I plan on focusing my attention on once the semester ends. My significant other has been hounding me to finish the book, and if they think it’s good and that I’d like it, I should finish it within a few days.
Though I’ve been devouring Rick Riordan’s The Lost Hero since last night, and since I loved the Percy Jackson series, I have no doubts that the Heros of Olympus series will satisfy and entertain me.
Sitting on my Kindle, taunting me with its pretty cover every time I open up the app on my phone to do some quick reading/highlighting/editing of my manuscript is Sarah Godfrey and Victoria DeRubeis’s book 2 of their Marionettes of Myth series, Fracture the Spider’s Web and I want to crack it open ASAP.
